Position Available: Government/Municipal Law Attorney (primarily transactional work) - Part-Time or Full-Time
Hensley Law Group is recruiting for an attorney with three or more years of transactional experience in the areas of Brown Act, Public Records Act, Torts Claims Act, CEQA, land use, Public Works Contracts, public safety issues, code enforcement, local government tax and fee issues, and other general government/municipal law subject matters. Some litigation experience is also desired but not essential. Prefer individuals who have held the position of assistant or deputy city attorney or equivalent.
Work Environment: Hensley Law Group provides maximum flexibility for work locations and working hours to minimize commute times and accommodate different personal schedules. Requires individual to be highly motivated, a self-starter, focused and with excellent communication skills. HLG serves as City Attorney or General Counsel for public agency clients located in Southern California and as special legal counsel for public agencies throughout the State. Compensation starting at $100 per hour for three years’ experience; compensation is higher for additional years of experience and qualifications. Benefits include health care and matching 401(k) plan. Minimum of approximately 1,200 hours per year up to 1,850 hours per year.
